List of chemicals used for fumigation

 In GateKBlog

There is no way to talk about a list of fumigation chemicals without explaining what fumigation is all about. If not for professional use, at least for primary use.

Fumigation is the process of disinfecting or decontaminating an already contaminated area. It is a method of using fumes of certain chemicals to remove harmful micro-organisms or pests.

It is also the process of using gaseous pesticides or fumigants to fill an area or space in order to suffocate or poison the pests within.

When do you need to fumigate?

Fumigation is very important when you notice pests in your house or office. It’s a terrible idea to wait till they become rampant and start destroying your property.

They do not need permission to multiply and take over your house.  If you have ever experienced this, you’d understand what I am saying.

If you are in the early stage of noticing this, take action. I mean, get rid of the pests immediately using fumigation chemicals. I repeat, do not make the mistake of ignoring them till they take over your house.

There are several reasons you need to fumigate. Some of them are;

1. To save time and money

As I mentioned earlier, the pests are not interested in your feelings or approval. All they want to do is take over your house. Save your property by fumigating regularly.

However, if you can’t fumigate yourself, reach out to a company or an expert you trust to get rid of the pests. That way, you won’t have to run helter-skelter trying to figure out how to fumigate or even allow the pests to destroy all you have.

Your time is precious, so is your money.

2. To disinfect and decontaminate

You need to disinfect and decontaminate regularly with fumigation chemicals. It is unhealthy to stay in an environment where pests are roaming freely. Not only will it pose a threat to the health of your workers if you are in the office environment, but it will also be harmful to you.

 Types Of Fumigation.

1. Gas Fumigation

Gas fumigation should happen in a place cleared of humans and animals. It is harmful to humans and the environment. It is usually in an enclosed or covered area. Usually, a mask is used when this type of fumigation occurs.

2. Solid Fumigation

This is a type of fumigation that occurs by sprinkling tablets, powders, or pellets of measured quantities of fumigants.

3. Liquid Fumigation

A common type of fumigation. It applies to using liquid fumigants for mold, pests, and insects. Liquid fumigation is carried out by sprayers, which disperse large quantities of liquid over the desired area.

Most liquid fumigants are toxic to humans, flammable, and volatile. Liquid fumigation is safest when performed outdoors or within an enclosed fumigation chamber.
